In 1610, Galileo (who improved on the telescope) realised that the world is not Earth-centered. But rather, its Sun-centered. In 1632, Galileo was eventually condemned by the Holy Office about his thoughts that the Earth is not the center of the universe. And I think only after Galileo died, that the world really understood about the entire solar systems. Galileo died on 8 January, 1642.
I’ve always believed that the world is round. Yeah, round. Maybe not round, round. But its circular in some form. We’ve learned that we could travel the world from 1 point and back in 80 days. But with technology these days, I’m sure we can do that in a couple of hours. Ok, my point about the world being “round” is that I believe in retributions. Do you? Whatever goes around, comes around. That’s another famous saying. Most of the time, its true. You reap what you sow. Hmm.. Familiar phrase. Thought I read it somewhere before. Do some good deeds. Offer some help to others. Lend a hand to those who need it. I’m sure when you reach out, there will be someone who will grab it. With much thanks and appreciation. Its the first weekend of the new year. Sit back on your chair. Close your eyes for a moment and think. Think hard, before you decide on what you wanna write on your resolution list for 2007. I still wanna emphasised that the world IS round.
